Stupid Stupid Games was founded by a small group of ambitious students in 2013 and has since evolved into a professional game development powerhouse. Though there’s not a single student among us anymore, our ambition has but grown.

We love to learn, and if we can, to teach. We’re disciplined and hardworking, and we make our deadlines. Maintaining a steady balance between efficient order and creative chaos is our secret sauce.

The Stupids don’t take life too seriously. We’re somewhere between hippies and rebels, with a generous sprinkling of nerdy goody-two-shoes. If we were to briefly describe our company as a person, it would be a gender fluid, Pastafarian whisky enthusiast with a pacifistically anarchistic disposition and a PhD in philosophy, reclining in a hammock wearing a dog-hair-covered kimono, with an open medieval fantasy book in one hand and a slice of pizza in the other.

In our little studio in Katajanokka, coastal Helsinki, our creations take shape and come to life. We may make stupid games, but each game has a true purpose and message. Our dream is to create at least one genre-defining game – a classic.

Our funding background includes an angel investor, a successful Invesdor equity crowdfunding campaign and a couple of Tekes grants.

Our Team

We like to keep a dynamic talent pipeline. Many amazing team members and interns have come and gone since 2013, and each one has left their unique mark on Stupid Stupid Games, for which we are humbled and grateful. In 2017, we put together our current all-star lineup.

Much like carbon-bearing materials undergoing eons of excruciating compression and heat exposure, our team has gone through a lot together, which has fused and solidified us into the rough diamond we are today.
